Am 23.5. und 24.5.23 fanden die Thüringer Fußball-Landesmeisterschaften von Special Olympics Thüringen in der Sport-Schule in Bad Blankenburg statt. 8 Schüler unserer Schule nahmen daran als Teil der unified-Mannschaft von „Spirit of Football e.V.“ teil. „Unified“ ist ein englisches Wort und bedeutet gemeinsam. Neben unseren Schülern spielten auch junge Menschen ohne Behinderung in der Mannschaft mit.
Im Rahmen eines Projektes mit „Spirit of Football e.V.“ trainieren unsere Fußballer seit über einem Jahr immer dienstags mit Studenten der Universität Erfurt zusammen. Dieses Training bereitet unseren Schülern immer viel Freude. Sie konnten schon viel Neues lernen und sich im Fußball-Spielen verbessern.
An dem Fußball-Turnier nahmen 13 Mannschaften aus ganz Thüringen teil. Unsere Mannschaft wurde in der unified-Gruppe Zweiter. Über dieses Ergebnis haben sich alle sehr gefreut.
